Providers receive an extension from stringent telehealth deadlines. Telehealth services have been extended until September 30, 2025. What does this mean for you? You can continue to see your patients through the end of the third quarter without any issues.
Telehealth services were initially scheduled to terminate and revert to pre-pandemic guidelines in March 2025. Fortunately, this deadline has been postponed once again.
Many geriatric patients depend on telehealth services to consult with providers due to severe comorbid conditions that incapacitate them or cognitive decline. In today's world, telehealth is as common as a traditional office visit. Restricting access to these services only disadvantages the most vulnerable populations.
